Role and Responsibilities

Summary


You will work as a P-8A pilot subject matter expert (SME). You will lead courseware development efforts to support U.S. Navy and foreign military sales training programs. You will play a key role training the next generation of maritime patrol and submarine hunting aircrews.

Location

 

Applications will work full-time or part-time in Jacksonville, FL.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review, revise, maintain, and develop aircrew courseware, syllabus, and training materials for P-8A aircraft systems, to include pilot and aircrew tasks, duties, aircraft systems, operations, and tactics.

  • Produce design documents, scenarios, guided demonstrations, graphics requests, and student and instructor materials.

  • Review and ensure quality, technical correctness and instructional soundness of draft and final interactive multimedia lessons.

  • Attend and participate in working group meetings and conferences as required.

  • Participate in all phases of courseware development.

  • Understand and articulate project scope and vision to align with client and contract requirements.

  • Ensure work performance meets deadlines and milestones.

  • Interact with active-duty P-8A Instructor Pilots and Government SMEs.

  • Execute other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required and as directed by the Site Manager.
     

Qualifications and Education Requirements
 

  • Must have a bachelor's degree.

  • Be a former active-duty or reserve military aviator.

  • Must have knowledge of P-8A operational performance capabilities and understanding of platform’s security classification and mission sensitivity issues.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, detail oriented, flexible in work assignments, work with little to no supervision, and enthusiastic.

  • Possess strong time management, organizational and personnel management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

 

Preferred Skills
 

  • Have a minimum of two years’ experience as a Maritime SME/Courseware Developer within the last seven years.

  • Possess qualifications as a P-8A Instructor Pilot preferred, with at least one tour at the Maritime Fleet Replacement Squadron.
